Operation Details
'CL' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from St Johns, Newfoundland to Sydney or Halifax, Nova Scotia, and as such reciprocals of the 'LC' series (February 1942/June 1943).
,The first of the series was CL.1 of 26 February/2 March 1942 with the 1,421-ton British Baccalieu and 1,184-ton Norwegian Kirsten B, and the last was CL.71 of 18/20 June 1943 with the 1,312-ton Norwegian Askepot, 427-ton British Cumco, 3,862-ton British Dunsley, 3,582-ton Greek Nadin, 8,179-ton British Nicania and 319-ton British Seneff.
