'Cocker' was the US bombing raid by two Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and two Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, under the command of Colonel Bernt Balchen, on the German 'Holzauge' weather reporting station on Sabine island off the coast of Greenland (May 1943).
