'Toreador' was a British unrealised plan for a two-division airborne operation in the central part of Japanese-occupied Burma, in the region of Mandalay, to open the way for Lieutenant General Sir William Slim’s British 14^th Army to move toward 'Extended Capital' in its reconquest of Burma (late 1944).
